Autonomous Decentralised Systems and their Applications

چکیده
A distributed system is a system with multiple autonomous computers managed by a coherent operating system. The main purpose is to increase the performance/cost ratio of the system. The multiple computers are transparent to users. A user uses a distributed system like a simplex computer. It is up to the operating system to select the best computer, find and transport all the input files to that computer, and put the results in the appropriate place [1]. A computer network contains also multiple autonomous computers. These computers are managed by independent and possibly different type of operating systems. The main purpose of a network is for resource sharing. To use another computer, a user has to explicitly login to that computer by providing the address, a login name and a password. The users also has to find the locations of input files and decide where to put the results when they use a network.

Arguments are given for the tenet that although the immune system has no long term goals, it does have short term goals | which are often contradictory. Simple models illustrate how feedbacks can (i) harmonize connicting goals, (ii) improve the performance of a given type of eeec-tor cell, (iii) cause the preferential ampliication of more potent eeectors. It is shown that spatial organization c...

ALADDIN [1] is a multi-disciplinary project that is developing novel techniques, architectures, and mechanisms for multi-agent systems in uncertain and dynamic environments. The application focus of the project is disaster management. Research within a number of themes is being pursued and this is considering different aspects of the interaction between autonomous agents and the decentralised s...
متن کاملDecentralised Adaptive Sampling of Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks are being deployed in an increasing number and variety of applications. Currently, most of these systems adopt a centralised control mechanism, but this has issues associated with scalability, robustness, and dynamism that often exist in such networks. Given this, decentralised approaches are appealing. However, the design of an efficient decentralised control regime is...
متن کاملRobust stabilization of a class of three-dimensional uncertain fractional-order non-autonomous systems
This paper concerns the problem of robust stabilization of uncertain fractional-order non-autonomous systems. In this regard, a single input active control approach is proposed for control and stabilization of three-dimensional uncertain fractional-order systems. The robust controller is designed on the basis of fractional Lyapunov stability theory. Furthermore, the effects of model uncertai...
متن کاملEnhancing peer-to-peer collaboration using trust
Distributed systems generally require their component parts to interact cooperatively, in order for the system as a whole to function effectively. For any given activity, there are typically several alternative components that have the required capabilities. In decentralised systems, where there is no overarching control, individual components are responsible for selecting other components with...
